Sadly, Syfy announced yesterday that they have decided to cancel Dominion after its second season.
According to news reports online, the cancellation is due to the 40% drop in ratings compared to last season. In a statement, Syfy was very appreciative of the cast and crew:
Led by Vaun Wilmott, the talented cast, producers, writers and crew of ‘Dominion’ have done a tremendous job bringing this ambitious, cinematic series to the screen over the past two seasons. We thank them, as well as our producing partners Universal Cable Productions, Bold Films and Film Afrika.
While this is obviously very upsetting for the fans and avid followers of the show, we would once again like to ask everyone not to start flaming the network or anyone involved in the show.
As with most renewal/cancellation decisions, it was likely based on numbers, facts and revenue, and was not an act to anger or punish the fans. We all love this show dearly and will mourn its too sudden ending, but yelling at Syfy accomplishes nothing. Let’s all try to channel our energy into something positive.
I think we should focus or efforts in voting for PEOPLES CHOICE AWARDS right now.

So sad. Dominion was the only reason I was watching Syfy again. Guess I have to say bye to that network again

They just don’t respect people who spent time, watching this TV show. The story was left in the middle of something very interesting. The Father didn’t come back, we don’t know what will be with Alex and Noma, Michael and Gabriel and so on. And I think, it’s pointless to start to watch any new show now, because I am so disappointed right now and don’t want to feel like this again. I was so sure that it’s going to be 3 season, because you just can’t end the show like this, without logical normal ending, because it’s like a book – you don’t finish the book in the middle of the story. I hope Syfy will loose lot of money and disappear forever!!!
