Season 2 of Dominion makes it to UK and Irish TV screens today! Syfy UK will premiere season 2 tonight at 9 PM UK time.

We will be live tweeting during the show, and some of the cast has also confirmed they will be there (namely Anthony Head, Shivani Ghai, Luke Allen-Gale, Christina Chong, and possibly more).

The episode/live tweet starts at 9 PM local time, which translates to 4 PM Eastern, 1 PM Pacific and 10 PM Central Europe. Come join us for all the fun, and don’t forget the #Dominion hashtag when you tweet!

Syfy UK Periscope chat with the cast

Syfy UK held a Periscope chat with Roxanne McKee, Tom Wisdom, Shivani Ghai and Anthony Head today where fans had about 15 minutes to ask questions and have them answered by the cast.

The chat will be up on the Periscope website for the next 24 hours (until approx. July 14, 12pm ET), so you can now catch up if you missed it. It’s also up on YouTube if you can’t see it on the Periscope website.

On Thursday (July 16), join our episode 2×02 tweetout and post your own picture of a smiley. Can be a sign, a drawing, fanart, a note, whatever you feel like. Let’s make it fun!

We start gathering on Twitter at 9/8c (2 am UK time, 3 am CET), and we’ll tweet all through the east coast airing, beginning at 10/9c. Hopefully, some of the cast will join us again. William Shatner may be there, too. And if executive producer and director Deran Sarafian can be believed, it’s going to be a great episode!

SEASON 2 IS FINALLY HERE! Tune in tonight at 10/9c on Syfy. Watch a new, exclusive clip on io9.com! Everyone going to SDCC to meet Vaun and watch the screening, have fun!!

Come join our tweetout tonight as well, it’s gonna be crazy and exciting! And the cast will be there. We already posted about it yesterday, if you missed it.

If you’re new to Twitter or the live tweeting, we have some helpful hints for you:

  1. Get a backup Twitter account (or two or three) so you can tweet even more (especially if you end up in Twitter jail).
  2. If you’re using a tablet, phone or other device running on a battery, it’s always good to make sure it’s charged.
  3. Have a Word document or browser window handy with the Twitter handles of the cast and crew so you can easily copy/paste into your tweet.
  4. Feel free to have some tweets written ahead of time so you can just copy/paste text in and save time. This can include having pictures and memes ready.
  5. Remember: Tweeting starts an hour before the episode airs. Definitely tweet (we need the numbers!) but don’t get yourself in twitter jail!
  6. After the tweetout, go back and retweet as many properly tagged (‪#‎dominion‬) posts as you can! This also helps our numbers.
  7. Vaun said that cast and crew are tweeting live both the East and West US coast viewings, so feel free to tweet during both if you can.
  8. Please be considerate with spoilers. There are many fans outside the United States who love the show and can’t watch it live on Syfy US. If you want to do the international fans a huge favor, don’t post anything that’ll spoil their viewing experience, especially huge plot twists. (And if you can’t see the episode live and want to avoid spoilers, we can only recommend that you stay away from social media for the time being.)
  9. Most important of all, USE #DOMINION AS YOUR HASHTAG!

Don’t forget to join the live tweet with the Dominion cast and crew tomorrow night during the season 2 premiere.

Vaun’s been gathering the combined forces of the cast, and with any luck, all of them will be there during both the US east and west coast airings of the season 2 premiere. So get your browsers, smartphones and tablets ready to join the Twitter madness!

Our tweetout starts an hour before the episode begins (9/8c), and we’ll be tweeting all throughout the episode (beginning 10/9c) as well. For those people across the pond, that means the tweetout starts at 2 AM UK time, 3 AM Central European time. The episode airs at 3 AM UK time and 4 AM CET.

If you missed it the last time around, this explains how the tweetouts work and how you can promote them. The list of the cast and crew’s Twitter handles can be found here. Just remember to use the #Dominion hashtag as much as you can, also when you only retweet others.
